Library Director

Amanda Westlund
Amanda, along with her husband, PJ, and their son, Ben, live in Mason. They have two dogs – Persey, and Maverick and one cat – Marshmallow. Amanda was an elementary educator for 24 years before coming to the Forest Lodge Library to become the library executive director in January 2024. She loves being outside – hiking, kayaking, and swimming. She really enjoys the solitude of their rural Mason home and enjoys visiting the farm she grew up on, just south of Eau Claire.
She enjoys singing and has been a member of a variety of different choral groups in the Chequamegon area. She also enjoys cooking and baking and is always looking for new recipes to try. She has really enjoyed working with the Cookbook Club program that she started at the library.
She is excited to serve the communities of Cable and Namakagon and looks forward to spreading her love of reading to all ages in the community. She most enjoys reading mysteries, historic fiction and children’s books.
